A new bill requiring South Korea's top government officials and lawmakers to declare their crypto holdings will take effect within the next two months, the floor leader of the country's ruling party said. Korean publication Yonhap News reported on 23rd May that PPP (People Power Party) Representative Yun Jae-ok said the date for launching new crypto announcement rules, currently set for this year December, is not immediate enough.
Japanese lawmakers have decided to implement stricter AML (anti-money laundering) measures to trace crypto transactions from next month. On 23rd May, Japanese parliament decision to introduce stricter AML procedures starting in June, according to a report on the same day from local media outlet Kyodo News.
