EU lawmakers have voted in favor of measures requiring banks to hold cryptocurrencies!

The European Parliament announced in a 24th January declaration that the committee voted overwhelmingly to amend its Capital Requirements Regulations and Directive applying to banks that hold crypto. According to a draft law, banks will be required to keep a “risk-weighted exposure amount” of up to 1,250% of capital depending on its exposure to crypto.

Blockchain development platform QuickNode has closed a $60 million funding round as part of a global expansion aimed at driving more users and developers to Web3 applications. The company announced on 24th January that QuickNode’s $800 million Series B raise was led by venture capital firm 10T Fund, with participation from Tiger Global, Seven Seven Six, and QED.
